Dear Guest Editors, Please consider the enclosed manuscript, "The Principle of Naturality: An Explainable Neuro-Symbolic Framework for Detecting Latent Convergence in Multi-Agent Inferential Structures," for the SPECIAL ISSUE ON EXPLAINABLE NEUROSYMBOLIC AI (X-NeSy) of Neurosymbolic Artificial Intelligence. The paper presents a transparent-by-design hybrid architecture in the compositional Symbolic[Neural] sense: neural stages (sentence embeddings, cross-encoder NLI, LLM verification) act strictly as candidate generators, while a symbolic layer issues a pairwise certificate the neural layer cannot overrule. Its primary output is not an agreement score but a structured, auditable explanation --- the convergence point, the per-agent inferential paths that reach it, the per-pair certificates that license it, and a normative (bargaining-theoretic) justification of its selection. We believe this matches the special issue's focus on models with built-in transparency and high-fidelity symbolic explanations that go beyond feature attribution. Three aspects may be of particular interest to X-NeSy readers: (i) a three-stage validation cascade whose error modes are measured and reported per stage; (ii) an axiomatically unique support geometry induced by the certificate, making the equity of every detected consensus an inspectable quantity; and (iii) an evaluation over four heterogeneous cases that includes a fully fictional control isolating framework behavior from language-model memorization, plus baselines and a stage ablation. The manuscript is original, is not under consideration elsewhere, and has not been previously published. A reproducibility archive (certified graphs, scripts, and JSON artifacts) is deposited at Zenodo (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18620115).
